If you are trying to adjust your Presser Foot to material thickness, follow the instructions in the Presser Foot Height Adjustment article.
This article describes when to and how to adjust the Presser Foot Eccentric. Rotating the eccentric counter-clockwise lowers the Presser Foot, to the starting/lowest position. Rotating the eccentric clockwise raises it, to a total of 9 clicks. If your Presser Foot is not clicking or has more than 9 clicks, you will need additional technical assistance. Presser Foot Eccentric
Measurement:
1. Make sure that the Melco OS program is running on your computer and your Melco embroidery machine is powered ON.
2. Remove any Hoop, Clamp, or Driver.
3. Color change to Needle #16.
4. In Melco OS, click on Tools > Maintenance as shown below.
5. Click on the Head Timing
6. Lower the needle to the Bottom Center position by holding down the Adjust Button and the Down Arrow.
7. Rotate the Presser Foot Eccentric as far counter-clockwise as it can go.
8. Check the height between the Presser Foot and the Needle Plate, it should be the thickness of the Hook Retaining Finger Gauge at Bottom Center.

9. If your Presser Foot is gapped correctly skip these additional steps.
10. If your Presser Foot is touching your needle plate or is more than 0.1mm (about 1 and a half the size of the Retaining Finger Gauge), follow the Adjustment procedure below.
Adjustment:
1. Spin the Presser Foot Eccentric Counter-Clockwise until it is bottomed out at the starting/lowest position.
2. At Bottom Center loosen the Presser Foot Eccentric center screw.

3. Spin the Presser Foot Eccentric Counter-Clockwise until the Presser Foot is touching the Needle Plate.
4. Spin the Presser Foot Eccentric Clockwise until there is enough of a gap between the Needle Plate and the Presser Foot for the Hook Retaining Finger Gauge to fit.
Between each click make sure the Crescent Shape (Highlighted in Red) is bottomed out against the eccentric pin (Highlighted in Blue). You can use your fingernail or a small screwdriver to rotate it clockwise.
Do Not Remove the Upper Arm Left Front Cover. The picture below has it removed to make it easier to see but you do not need to do this. Melco will not be responsible for any damage to the machine or related service costs caused by removing and not correctly reinstalling the cover.
5. Tighten the Presser Foot Eccentric center screw.
6. Spin the Presser Foot Eccentric Clockwise to its 9th click.
7. Spin the Presser Foot Eccentric Counter-Clockwise to its lowest/starting click.
8. If you can complete the full clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the Presser Foot without it locking up, and if your lowest Presser Foot setting is gauged correctly at bottom center the adjustment is complete.
9. If the Presser Foot locks-up, loosen the Presser Foot Eccentric center screw and spin the eccentric Clockwise until the Crescent Shape is covering the left side.
10. Tighten the Eccentric center screw.
11. Follow the adjustment steps starting at step 1.
