If you updated Melco OS software to v11.11.114 or higher:
If you’ve recently updated your software, you might notice different sounds from the machine. This might be during a trace, while the machine is sewing, thread feeding, or color changing. This is due to changes in motor activation and operation, and doesn’t indicate a problem with the machine.
