If you have a new Melco EMT16 or Bravo machine and when you are ready to start sewing, pressing the green button on the keypad doesn't start the machine:
- If none of the buttons on the machine's keypad appear to be responding, make sure the Bobbin Timer hasn't been set and the timer elapsed. Under Tools - Settings - uncheck the box next to Bobbin Timer to resolve.
- If you hear 4 or 5 fast beeps when pushing the green start button, you likely have the Emergency-Stop button engaged (red round button at the bottom of the keypad). Turn the Emergency-Stop button to the right (clockwise) to disengage. Then you can push the green start button on the keypad to begin sewing.
- If you are receiving the error message "Cutter Stepper Index Error" you can Contact Melco Technical Support for assistance.
- If you have 1 beep when pushing the green start button, you may need to clear and re-set your color sequence in the Melco OS software. Click the Color Sequence button:
Next, click the Clear All button. It is important that you Do Not click the Apply button at the bottom of this screen.
Now, assign the Design Colors from the Thread Tree as normal. Click Apply and you should now be able to push the green start button on the keypad to begin sewing.
