Summit - Connecting to a Network or WiFi

Wired (Ethernet Cable) Network Connection

Connect Summit to a Network or router using a standard ethernet cable.  Summit can pick up an IP address and connect. Verify connection in the Maintenance screen:    summit_network icon.png

In the Maintenance screen, here is the Machine Information, including UI IP Address:

If it does not connect the next time you turn the machine on, you will need to create a Network Connection. From the main screen, select the Settings icon:  SUMMIT_SETTINGS.png

At the top of the Settings is Network Selection > Connection Type:  Wireless or Wired.

For an ethernet cable connection, pick Wired.  It will open Settings. If this is the 1st time connecting to a Network, the fields will be blank. Click the Globe icon at the left of the Network field:  SUMMIT_GLOBE.png

A Network Connection screen opens and the machine should pick up an IP Address from the router. Here is an example:

Select the Green checkmark to leave that screen. You will back on the Settings screen. You have the option to change the Machine Name, pick the Language, etc.

Select the Green checkmark at the bottom to close the screen.

Wireless / WiFi Network Connection

NOTE:  Summit might not connect to networks using WPA3 WiFi security protocol.  WPA2 or WEP is recommended in those situations.

Select Wireless for the Connection Type.  It will add a section below, and allow you to pick a Wireless Network from the list of available options. Pick your selection.

If that wireless connection has a password, you will be prompted to enter the password.

Summit should now be connected to your network.
