Melco software should work alongside most popular anti-virus/anti-malware programs without issue. In rare cases when a conflict occurs, it can be helpful to disable features such as "Real-Time Protection" or "Intrusion Prevention" within the anti-virus software. Or, completely disable the anti-virus program's functionality temporarily and then install the Melco software. Review the documentation provided for your anti-virus software for more information on how to disable it.
Also, if your Melco machine is not detected by the software included with the machine, make sure that any Ethernet Firewall functionality is disabled.
