Improper alignment of the Upper Arm Front Covers can cause Color Change Binding. You might also hear Clicking when Color Changing. Follow the steps below to align the covers.
1. Color Change to Needle #1.
2. WARNING!! If your machine color changes without the Upper Arm Front Covers, damage to your machine will occur and a service call will be necessary, Melco will not be responsible for any damage to the machine or related service costs caused by not performing this step.
Loosen the Upper Arm Right Front Cover. It’s attached with 5 screws.
3. Color change to Needle #12.
4. Tighten the two screws on the right side of the Upper Arm Right Front Cover.
5. Color Change to Needle #1.
6. Tighten the three remaining screws on the left side of the Upper Arm Right Front Cover.
7. Color Change to Needle #16.
8. Loosen the Upper Arm Left Front Cover. It’s attached with 4 screws.
9. Color change to Needle #9.
10. Tighten the two screws on the left side of the Upper Arm Left Front Cover.
11. Color Change to Needle #16.
12. Tighten the three remaining screws on the right side of the Upper Arm Left Front Cover.
