When expanded design files are saved in DesignShop an additional file is created by default to provide an icon file. This is so you can see an icon image of the file in Windows Explorer and when choosing File>Open, within DesignShop. In most cases, an āSā is added to the normal file extension. ".DSTS" is created for a DST file, ".PESS" for PES and so on. For an EXP, an EPF file is created for it.
To turn off this function in DesignShop v11 and DesignShop 12, Choose: Tools>Options and the File Options tab. Uncheck Write icon files at save. That option needs to be unchecked (no DSTS files created) for Tajima machines to read DST files created with DesignShop v11 or 12.
