DesignShop will show the number of stitches in the digitizing itself, the OS will display the number of stitches that will sew.
If your DesignShop stitch count differs from the Machine OS Enable Tie In/Tie Off is most likely enabled.
The Enable Tie In/Tie Off feature can catch digitizing mistakes with Tie Stitches and filter them out. If this setting is enabled you might end up with a different number of total stitches from the original digitization. It’s recommended to leave this setting enabled.
To turn this feature on or off go to Tools > Settings… > Enable Tie In/Tie Off.
