These steps will need to be followed, with the assistance of Melco Technical Support, when a mainboard or touchscreen is replaced in a Melco SUMMIT or Bernina E16 PRO. This procedure does not apply to machine models that do not feature a touchscreen interface.
Here is what is needed:
- Blank Formatted USB Drive
- Machine Serial Number
- Touchscreen UI Serial Number
- Mainboard MAC Address
- "Pairing" file generated by Melco Technical Support
The Machine Serial Number "S/N:" can be found on a label on the right side of the machine. It is also available in the Machine Information section on the Maintenance page on the touchscreen.
The touchscreen UI Serial Number is found in the Machine Information section on the Maintenance Page on the touchscreen.
The mainboard MAC Address is on a label on the mainboard. This video provides instructions on accessing the mainboard in the machine.
- Provide the Machine Serial Number, UI Serial Number, and mainboard MAC Address to Melco Technical Support who will provide a pairing file (ENC File) that will need to be copied to the blank USB Drive.
- Plug the USB drive into the Touchscreen.
- Navigate to the Maintenance screen.
- Hold the Start Button for 10 seconds.
You should see a message on the screen indicating that the pairing is complete.
