Presser Foot In-Between Needles

If the presser foot is in-between needles, instead of being directly behind a needle as it should be, there are some simple steps that might quickly resolve it:

1)  Power OFF the Melco embroidery machine.

2)  Exit out of the Melco OS, Bravo OS, or AMAYA OS software. Then, start the program again.

3)  Click on Tools - Options - Ethernet and check the Force Download box.

4)  Power ON the Melco embroidery machine.  The machine will take about a minute to re-program and the presser foot should move back to the correct position behind the needle.

If this happened during sewing, and if recovery of material is necessary:

1)  Perform a Power Failure Recovery.

2)  Click on Tools - Options - Ethernet and verify that Force Download is not checked.

If it's acceptable for the current sewout to be lost (no material recovery):

Power Failure Recovery not needed for this process.

1)  Click on Tools - Options - Ethernet and check the Force Download box.

2)  Power OFF the Melco embroidery machine.

3)  Power ON the Melco embroidery machine.  The machine will take about a minute to re-program and the presser foot should move back to the correct position behind the needle.

If the above does not resolve:

1)  Power OFF the Melco embroidery machine.

2)  Exit out of the Melco OS, Bravo OS, or AMAYA OS software. Then, start the program again.

3)  Delete the entire contents of the JOBS and MACHINE folders located here:

          C:\Program Files (x86)\Melco\Melco OS v11   (or Bravo OS/AMAYA OS)

4)  Launch the Melco OS v11 program (or Bravo OS/AMAYA OS)

5)  Power ON the Melco embroidery machine.

If the above does not resolve:

The instructions below detail a change within the Windows Registry.  This change should only be made by someone who is experienced with making Registry modifications.

1)  Power OFF the Melco embroidery machine.

2)  Exit out of the Melco OS, Bravo OS, or AMAYA OS software. Then, start the program again.

3)  In the Windows Registry, delete the "MC" key located here:

            HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Melco/MC/

Take caution to only delete the MC key.

4)  Launch the Melco OS v11 program (or Bravo OS/AMAYA OS)

5)  Click Tools, Options, Ethernet and verify that the proper Ethernet adapter is selected (not Wireless or Bluetooth) in the Adapter box.  Check the Force Download box.  Click Apply and OK.

6)  Power ON the Melco embroidery machine.

If the presser foot is still in the wrong position after the above suggestions, you should obtain technical assistance for your machine.
