Enabling Statistical Reports in Melco OS

This document only applies to Melco OS version 11.03.047 and above.  If you have an earlier version of Melco OS, update your software to the most recent software version.

Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express Local DB must be installed.  It can be found on the install media at: prd\gUtil\SqlLocalDB.  There is a 32 bit and a 64 bit version.  Install the one that matches your Windows operating system.  The Melco OS installer installs everything else that’s needed for data logging and report generation.

  1. The “Log Statistical Information Enable” checkbox found within Tools:Options:Preferences dialog should be checked.
  2. Reporting for a given job is not available until the job has been completed or reset.
  3. When preparing to generate a report, it is important to set the “From” and “To” fields correctly.

To completely disable (shut off) Stastical Reports the information below must be changed in the Windows Registry.  This change should only be made by someone who is experienced with making Registry modifications.

To Disable Statistical Reports in the Windows Registry:

Under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Melco/MC/Settings

Add DWORD (32-bit) Value:  StatReports

Set the Value to: 0

After making that change, check the box next to "Log Statistical Information Enable" under:  Tools - Options - Preferences
