Presser Foot lodged behind needle after 20 Million Stitch Maintenance

When doing the 20,000,000 stitch maintenance, part of the procedure is the lubrication of the presser foot cam follower.

The presser foot is raised to grease the presser foot cam follower.

If the presser foot is raised too far the presser foot will be raised above the needle clamp.

This causes the needle not to be able to make a stitch. Using a screw driver push the presser foot back until it is released from the needle clamp. The needle will come up when it is released.

Note: Watch your fingers so they don’t get pinched when the presser foot is released.
