Embroidery on silk can be quite challenging. Some very thin silk can be next to impossible to embroider. Here are some helpful tips:
1. Use a 60 or 65 ball point needle (Groz-Beckert DBxk5 RG needle is the best)
2. Keep as many stitches out of the design as possible (massive underlay and very dense top stitching should be changed)
3. Increase the minimum for Auto Mode from 2 pts. to 3 or 4 pts.
4. 3 oz. tear away backing (maybe two layers if necessary)
