If you encounter the error "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." when updating your Melco software, follow the steps in this article.
1) Open Control Panel in Windows:
2) Select View By: Small or Large icons and File Explorer Options (This might also be called Folder Options).
3) Go to the View tab and select ‘Show hidden files, folder, and drives’.
4) Click Apply and OK.
5) Navigate to this folder (previously a Hidden folder in Windows):
In 64-bit Windows, Vista, 7 or 8
C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information\{CA5CEBC9-6900-420D-8E4A-AAB821767ABB}
In 32-bit Windows
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{CA5CEBC9-6900-420D-8E4A-AAB821767ABB}
6) DELETE the folder. (Deleting the file named SETUP.ILG will have the same results).
